Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has injected Ushs30million in the upcoming seniors golf tournament that is set for Saturday Oct 29.

Speaking during a press briefing to announce the sponsorship, said the donation is part of their efforts to give back to their clients who have supported them over the years.

He added that the donation is also part of the activities to mark CAA’s silver Jubilee.

Luggya handed a dummy cheque worth Ushs30m to the Uganda Golfing Society officials at the Uganda Golf Club, which was received by the Uganda Golfing society at Golf Club.

Vianney explains that with the game of Golf getting bigger and better each year CAA have will increase its sponsorship to match the status that the game of golf has attained.

“We are determined to continue making golf an essential part of social economic transformation and effective marketing that draws the attention of local and global communities to Uganda,” Luggya explained to The Sunrise.

Besides the cash donation, CAA offered to provide branded T-shirts and caps to all participants and as well as providing other logistics taking care of other Logistical amenities.

According to Ambrose Akandonda, the Chairman of Uganda Seniors Golfing Society, over 120 senior golfers are among a field of about 200 golfers expected to grace the inaugural Seniors Open golf tournament that tees off at Kitante on Saturday.
