Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, taking the Oath of allegiance in FDC

Kampala City Lord Mayor Hajj Erias Lukwago has joined the top leadership organ of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) as Vice President for Buganda replacing Owek. Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo.

After serving FDC at the highest level, Ssebugwawo shocked everyone when she was named and accepted to serve under President Yoweri Museveni who appointed her as Deputy Minister for Information and National Guidance.

The swearing ceremony of the new members of the FDC National Executive Committee (NEC) took place today morning September 13, at the party’s headquarters in Najjanankumbi in Kampala and was presided over by the Party’s lawyer Julius Galisonga Kibande.

Below is part of the statement from the party on the new office bearers

0p0⁰We would like to inform our members, supporters and the public of our changes in our national leadership.

Kampala lord mayor Erias Lukwago was among those who were sworn in after he was approved as acting Deputy President ( Buganda) replacing owek.Nabbosa

The NEC approved the appointment of Soroti District woman Mp Adeke Anna Ebaju, as acting Deputy President (East) replacing Taaka Kevina.

The meeting also approved Obongi County MP Hassan Kaps Fungaroo as acting Secretary Mobilization replacing Ingrid Turinawe kamateneti.

Dan Muwonge was approved acting Secretary for presidency replacing Ismail Ssempijja and Hajji Obed Kamulegeya was approved acting secretary culture, religion and ethics replacing Sheik Muhammad Hood Katuramu.

NEC also approved deputy secretaries appointed by the FDC president per the Constitution.

They are; Steven ochora, serere district Lc5 chairman( dept sec mobilisation ( East)

Dr George Ekwaro ( mobilization North) Ms Susan Nanyonjo Susan ( Dept sec. Culture, religion & ethics )

Hamis walusimbi Musoke (sec environment & natural resources)

Moses Okwera Mugisha (Secretary agricultural)

Florence Kabugho woman Mp Kasese District ( dept sec post-conflict and reconstruction)

Karl-Marx W’Mugeni (dept secretary international and regional affairs).

Those who haven’t been sworn in will be sworn in in the next NEC meeting.
