Uganda Journalist Association (UJA) President Kazibwe Bashir Mbazira is to lead the Save a Life charity run slated to take place December 7th at the Uganda Museum.

The event will be combined with a festival and many musicians will entertain their fans on that day.

The purpose of the run is to raise funds to help homeless people in Karamoja and Rakai.

On Saturday Kazibwe started the campaign at Kisekka market where he collected many items including books, clothes and shoes contributed by the traders there.

He also managed to sell off tickets and t-shirts that went for UGX 10,000. He worked alongside the Save a Life Foundation and Kawempe South MP Munyagwa Mubarak Sserunga.

Munyagwa called upon all people to contribute.

“Many people in distant places live in a avery bad state and we ought to give them a christmas suprise so that they can also get through the year with a smile on their faces.”

Kazibwe thanked the people of Kisekka market for their endless love as people managed to contribute all that they could.
