The report further indicates that only 9 percent of sexually active men aged between 40 to 49 years used are condom while engaging in extramarital sex in the year 2018.
A report from the Uganda Aids Commission revels that the number of Ugandans using Condoms has dropped to 24 percent from 38 percent in 2000.

The head of prevention at the Uganda Aids Commission, Doctor Daniel Byamukama says while general pervasiveness of men aged 40 to 49 is 14 percent, the number of men in this bracket who engage in extramarital affairs is high at 25 percent.
He further reveals this throws the country into worry as its undoing previous awareness projects by activists like the late Philly Bongole Lutaaya and other prevention projects aimed at combating HIV as these men are believed to be spreading the virus to Young females who also spread it further.
The Uganda Aids Commission has however appealed to Ugandans to maintain the use of condoms because it’s an effective tool of preventing HIV.
