Mufti Ismail Menk has advised Muslims to promote mercy and guard their private parts if they are to enter paradise.

Menk said this Friday 21st while leading prayers at Gadhafi mosque in Kampala.

He said that Muslims should promote mercy before seeking it from God.

“You have to treat your friends the real way you want to be treated. My brothers and sisters in Islam if you realize what will happen to you when you die, you automatically become a good practicing Muslim,” he said

He said it is the duty of a Muslim to treat well his or her neighbor irrespective of religious differences and avoid acts of murder.

“A true believer does not practice murder. If you were also just given life by Allah who are you to take someone’s life that Allah gave him or her?” He asked. He emphasized that nowhere in the Quran is it written that people are allowed to kill each other.

Echoing the words of the Quran he said ‘Whoever guarantees the correct use of his or her tongue and private parts I also guarantee him or her Jannah’. After you have respected Allah and his creatures, Allah says respect yourself therefore my Muslim brothers and sisters I urge you to move in a straight path while guarding your private parts and the tongue”.

He advised young youth to legalize their marriage instead of practicing fornication.

“Please maintain the protection of your private parts. If you want to fulfill your sexual desires please legalize it and enjoy in the lawful way,” he said.
