The ministry of health Uganda on Thursday June 14 received two vehicles and 30 motorcycles that were donated by the Irish Embassy and World Health Organization (WHO) to help in containing the Ebola outbreak in Western Uganda.
Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng the Health of Minister said the donation will help intensify and boost the outbreak in Western Uganda that has killed at least two people.

“We have managed contain the situation as a ministry and our partner. Currently in Bwera Ebola treatment centre, we have one suspected case whose results are still pending and the other two have tested negative and I would like to warn the nation to avoid shaking hands, mass gatherings mostly in the 20 high risk districts, ” said Dr Aceng.
At the beginning of this week, the Ministry announced an Ebola outbreak when a 5 year old boy who crossed from DRC tested positive after he was examined at Bwera Hospital in Kasese. The victim who later passed on had already infected his grandmother who also passed on after only two days of her grandsons death.
