Post Bank unveils banking services to refugees

Post Bank Uganda has today launched and unveiled safe easy and affordable savings and transaction account tailored for refugees .

The acting managing Director Post Bank Uganda Mr.Karonge Edwin while unvailing this service at the head offices Nkurumah road in Kampala ,he said that Uganda is currently a home of more than one million registered refugees and asylum seekers according to the United Nations report of 2016 saying that this service is very unique and it is going to help refugees who want to save and earn attractive interest for future prospects and Refuge transactional accounts .

“Post Bank is a socially oriented bank committed to changing and empowering lives ,for a better Uganda by providing all people with easy, accesible, affordable and financial products and services.”Keronga said

Meanwhile the communications manager at post bank Jackie Tahakanizibwa Kwesiga says being that they are located almost in every part of the country ,they will be able to give this service to every one who will be interested and it is free of charge .

She says that by now more than 2000 refugees are owning accounts.
