Government Appoints UBC Board of Directors

The Uganda government has approved the Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) Board of Directors

Uganda Media Center Executive Director and government spokesperson Ofwono Opondo while addressing the media at the Uganda media center said cabinet approved the appointment of the eight board directors on a three year term

The Board of directors will be headed by the former Deputy managing director r of New vision Mr. James Rwehabura Tumusiime

The board also comprises Ms. Hadijja Nassanga Miiro, Mr Mike okua, Mr Richard Barungi, Ms. Tezira Jamwa, Maj. Christopher oballa Magezi, Ms Sarah Namumbya and Mr Winston Agaba the current Managing Director of Uganda Broadcasting Cooperation

“These developments are part of the efforts and moves to revamp and restructure UBC” said Opondo

Opondo also added that cabinet approved Uganda Post Limited Board of Directors which will be headed by Mr Suleiman Balyejusa Kirunda the former Budiope Member of Parliament, Dorothy Telopecho Buti, Mr. Hussein Kashillingi Rugaba, Mr Richard Mwesiga, Mr Herbert Kigundu Mugerwa, Ms Lilian Aber and the current managing director of Uganda Post Limited Mr Ariinaitwe James
