Dr Daniel Ruhweza a Ugandan lawyer who doubles as a political analyst has stated that Democratic Party should be in position to illustrate to Ugandans that they are better than Forum for Democratic Change because the idea of coming together is not new in Uganda and it has happened so many times but the outcomes were fruitless
During a topical discussion on NBS television he argued that what Ugandans want to see this time round is something new and also it’s very important for the leaders to understand the kind of citizens Uganda has today are ready to vote because they make the final decision at the head of the day
Dr Daniel said that the current democratic blocs not yet a force otherwise they would not be seeking to unify
“We cannot ignore the fact that NRM is a formidable force to content with, anybody who thinks otherwise is just deceiving themselves “he added
He further explained that the political parties that want to provide alternative governance to the nation have to find a way to deal with the NRM formidable force and he thinks that then nation and opposition can move on without being unified
