Bonita Arinaitwe Mulungi, a climate change advocate has tasked the Ugandan government to present a strict law that bans people from practicing deforestation as this will help in environmental conservation.

She stressed the proposal through her presentation at the official launch of the Uganda Water and Environment week at the Water Resource Institute.

‘We urge you to make a law where people who cut down trees should pay money to buy seedlings and double the amount of trees cut.’ She said

With her proposal, Bonita believes the environment will be conserved and chances of high death rates of infants will be lessened by 2040.

The young Author has called upon both children and youths to participate in activities that will put a stop on environment pollution

Mulungi is a form two student at Nabisunsa girls’ Secondary School. She started her noble cause in primary six at Aga Khan primary school
