President of Uganda H.E Yoweri Museveni Kaguta has banished lectures associated with sexual harassment cases in top notch universities. This he declared while addressing the 69th congregation of Makerere University.

While officiating the 69th graduation at the freedom square in Makerere University, the president stated that a lecturer caught and accused of sexual harassment ought not to have even a single space in the top university

” I want to congratulate Prof Nawangwe and your team for the good move and decision taken to discipline students, lecturers and other staff in the university which has helped to reduce on the misconduct at the institute” He stated.

He further added that Makerere University is one of the best Universities in Africa and Scientists need to be well acquainted with continent.

He further added that Scientists in Uganda stand great chance and opportunity to get jobs so more emphasis should be inserted in Sciences

Museveni also urged fresh graduates to form group and government will come in to provide financial support to them so that they are in position to incept their own business which will help to create employment opportunities

Over 13000 students are to graduate during this ongoing graduation ceremony which started today and it’s to last four days
