Jose Mourinho has been fired by Manchester United after over two years in charge of the Old Trafford side.
A statement from Manchester United said that a caretaker-manager would be appointed to take United to the end of the season.
“The club would like to thank Jose for his work during his time at Manchester United and to wish him success in the future,” the statement said.
