The Buganda Royal Institute of Business and Technical Education (BRIBTE), has celebrated its 11th graduation at its main institute grounds in Mengo today.

During the celebration, Charles Peter Mayiga, called upon the Central Government to lend a hand to private institutes because they have done an excellent job in educating the new generation of Ugandans.

The Katikkiro later urged all graduates not to think that the struggle is over since they have graduated but rather use the skill they have acquired to practice in order to achieve excellence.

The institute graduated more female over male students. Over 821 female students graduated as compared to 559 males, making the total of 1380 graduates. The graduate students included both certificate and diploma students who offered vocational, business and technical courses.

BRIBTE was founded in 1999 by the Buganda Kingdom with the major aim of equipping students with practical skills and knowledge to enable them create their own jobs, hence reducing unemployment in the country.

Basing on the institute’s main objective of providing practical and entrepreneur skills, the Academic Registrar, Mr. Leonard Walusimbi, said that they are so happy and glad to say that all the graduates are well-equipped with their specific skills and they believe will make them do better in their work.
