Mathias Nsubuga Birekeraawo, who has been the Democratic Party (DP) Secretary General has died after he was admitted to Case Hospital in Kampala suffering from a stroke.

D.P President Norbert Mao confirmed that the D.P secretary general had passed away. Mao said Nsubuga had been rushed to Case Hospital in Kampala on Friday Dec 16, 2016, after he collapsed at Mukono Bookshop. He was moving along the party’s Organising Secretary Sulaiman Kidandala by the time he collapsed.

In a statement released earlier by D.P noted that tests that were carried out by doctors at Case hospital confirmed that Nsubuga had suffered a major stroke.

Apart from his Political role in Uganda, many people knew Nsubuga as the father to Marion Nankya, the wife of Buganda’s Prince David Wasajja.
