It was a series of multi-cultural performances at the Uganda museum on Sunday as House of Talent – was premiering her event dubbed culture connections.
It was a great opportunity for the hundreds of invited guests to network, connect and have fun. House of Talent Performers showcased their multiple skills in dances that represent different cultures across Uganda. Ugandan dancers excited not only Ugandans but also other nationalities, making the event a perfect boiling pot of cultures.
The multi-talented performers also exhibited a play on how school has snatched children of their peace of having enough rest as they get to school early morning and get little time to rest. Through the teachers and students at John Speke School, they showed how teachers are fronting the colonial languages as they punish students who communicate in their mother tongue.
Ebonies founder John Katende, Andrew Benon Kibuuka, Diplock Sseggawa and the Iranian ambassador are some of the big wigs that graced the night.
Speaking at the event, Muhammed Reza the Iranian Ambassador to Uganda advised Ugandans to preserve and use culture to develop Uganda.
Jedidiah Andrew Lwanga Ssebaggala, the Director House of Talents and the brain behind Cultural Connection was scheduled to be a monthly program and will take place at the Uganda Museum every last Sunday of the month.
