Renowned Grammy Award winning saxophonist Kirk whalam to grace the rotary Uganda charity concert dubbed “Kirk Whalum Live” slated for 7th march at the Serena Kampala hotel
According to Emmanuel Katongole the Chairman Rotary Blood Bank said Kirk Whalum will perform at the “Kirk Whalum live” jazz concert where proceedings will go towards purchasing equipment which will enable Rotary Mengo blood Bank test , Process and pack safe blood buy consumables and to also purchase a fully equipped mobile blood Bank to transport blood safely.
Kirk Whalum was in Uganda in October 4, 2015 during the eighth edition of the Nile Gold Jazz Safari at the Kampala Serena Hotel the Tickets will cost 200,000shs and Shs 5M a table
Kirk William is an American Jazz saxophonist and songwriter, with couple of solos and film soundtracks he has earned a total of 12 Grammy nominations and a Grammy award.
Whalum has performed at Bill Clinton’s installation two times and at the installation of Nelson Mandela in South Africa among other big events
