When people talk about the fashion industry as a teeny-tiny, insular world, they aren’t being glib. Although fashion plays a major role on the world stage, both culturally and financially, Fashion has the parallel characteristic towards our lifestyle. Some people always get confused with which or what type of clothing should be wore and be matched when going out for eating session such as, fine dining at the restaurant demand a formal look while eating by the street can be anything on them.

A  star-studded special evening celebrating out-standing achievements of people in the arts, innovation and excellence of Global-African fashion stars is once again back in Uganda in a night that will see Fashion and style at a glance.

For the 7th time, Afrikan Fashion Awards comes back in November to appreciate 23 award winning achievements at the biggest night in African fashion, in support of a cause – FashionVision2025.

Twenty three organizations and fashion icons will receive their honors in recognition of the tremendous contribution in fashion education, fashion modeling, fashion designing, fashion photography, fashion journalism, fashion runway excellence, digital fashion innovation, and fashion growth support.

The 7th Afrikan Fashion Awards is dedicated in support of a cause that seeks to help fashion students, scholars and researchers to access research materials, scholarships and financial support to enable them realise their fashion excellence goals.

 AFRIKAN FASHION AWARDS

Organised annually by The Daud Group – a Special Events, Digital Production and PR Communication group, Afrikan Fashion Awards is a thought exposure event that helps bring together African fashion industry stakeholders, shine the spotlight on and facilitate the industry to network with clients and the general public, share ideas and experiences, collect feedbacks and learn about Africa’s latest fashion trends.

Founded in 2009 by Ugandan entrepreneur, Baraka A. Daud, Afrikan Fashion Awards has risen from a simple event whose audience was merely high school and university students upon its launch in early 2010 to become a leading Global-African platform of African achievement.

Afrikan Fashion Awards’ main objective is to reward and Award the pioneers and gurus, discover and encourage new entrants as a means of supporting the continuous expansion and organization of the African fashion industry’s quality and standards on the continent.

The 7th Afrikan Fashion Awards is proudly sponsored by Naisha Group, Presidential Initiatives on Banana Industrial Development, TOOKE, Daud Construction, Fashion Society Of Uganda, Naisha Arts, The Daud Studios, and Fashion Ghana Magazine.
