Some of us who come from pastoral communities we cannot stand seeing a bull mounting another bull. Actually if we saw a bull mounting another bull we would just run to fetch a mental doctor because that’s enough to conclude the bulls are either mad, we are more comfortable seeing two men holding guns than holding hands? The religion dislikes both abortions and homosexuality. But who has fewer abortions than gays? If the world routinely complains of bulging population, why then should people throw insults upon those who have just the right solution to the problem?
Just like women, lesbians and gay men, all other human beings are denied certain very basic human rights. In fact the last time most people in society cared about your rights was when you were a foetus. Almost everyone is in the struggle to have their rights recognized but the stubborn society is not allowing us enjoy what belongs to us; gays are no exceptional. Keep trying.
Openness may not completely disarm prejudice, but it’s a good place to start.
So, a gay man goes to Church one Sunday. As the offering basket is passed by, he drops in a big wad of bills. When the basket gets back to the minister, he notices the wad of money and announces: “Someone here was very generous in the offering today. I would like to ask the person who gave this large amount of money to please stand.” The gay man stood up.
The minister continued, “Well, sir, we certainly do appreciate your generosity. And to show our appreciation, I’m going to let you select your three favorite hymns.” “Okay,” the gay man replied, “I’ll take him, him and him!”
The world is not divided into sheep and goats. Not all things are black or all things white. It is a fundamental of taxonomy that nature rarely deals with discrete categories. Only the human mind invents categories and tries to force facts into separated pigeon-holes.
The living world is a continuum in each and every one of its aspects. The sooner we learn this concerning sexual behavior the sooner we shall reach a sound understanding of the realities of sex.
