We all remember what happened to Bebe Cool at the Swangz All Star celebrations at Lugogo Cricket Oval. Fans went emotional and threw bottles at the Gagamel emperor with claims that he was arrogant and insensitive. Bobi Wine was limping after alleged torture in Arua by President Museveni’s guards. Bebe called it acting, much to the annoyance of many people.
We thought that would stop in Uganda. But when Vinka, Geofrey Lutaaya and Irene Namatovu refused to perform at Royal Regency in London claiming that they had not been fully paid by the organizers, Ugandans there turned to throwing bottles on stage.
Josy Joblinks , the event organizer, with disappointment, said he had invested a lot of money in these artistes especially Swangz Avenue’s Vinka. He added that their refusal to perform prompted fans to throw bottles because they had paid for the show. He advised Vinka to think more about her tomorrow claiming that in the entertainment industry, it is so easy to get off the map if one does not tread carefully.
