For the first time in my life, June 25, Fr. Lokodo said that the presence of condoms in Parliament is an image destroyer of the institution of legislation where there should be more modesty, more stability and surety that our MPs are behaving as expected of them.
I could not agree more with Fr. Lokodo. Condoms are placed in places such as brothels, and guesthouses where immorality is the norm of the day. Placing them in Parliament is a clear sign of how this nation is thriving on immorality.
Like Fr. Lokodo said, the parliament is full of married people who have their partners. Therefore, if you leave condoms for these people in toilets of all places, one is either insinuating that Parliament has turned into a brothel or there is likelihood that it will be very soon.
Therefore, let’s not deceive ourselves that placing condoms in Parliamentary toilets is to help save time for those MPs who have no time to go to shops. If this issue continues, we shall start seeing ‘Busy’ tags on parliament toilets and offices and hearing moans of pleasure and ecstasy emitting from them. Won’t that be a shame for such a place of respectability!
