The Police have arrested a man at Nsiike 1, Ndeeba, whom they say has confessed to killing a Boda Boda rider in Kakyeka, Mengo on June 30, 2019.

In a media statement released on July 17, and signed by Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson, the killer is identified as Mugisha John Bosco, a.k.a Mukiga.

“Mugisha admits that he is the one in the video with his colleague called Young Mulo (Not the Musician), Police said.

The statement adds that: “Mugisha admits that they robbed the motor cycle from Mityana on He confessed 2/7/2019 and they were traced upto Makindye in Kampala, wehre the mob killed his colleague. Mugisha alleges that he escaped that day and went to Kabale.

Derrick Mulindwa, the deceased boda boda rider seen in a widely circulated cctv video, was killed by two men who took off with his bike.

Police says they arrested Mugisha after a tip off.

Police says that Mugisha will be charged with murder and aggravated robbery.
