The grandmother of the five year boy who died of Ebola yesterday has also died just a day after the demise of her grandson.
Her death has marked a total of the first two cases reported in the country since the virus spread from neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo.
BBC has reported that, the grandmother and grandson are said to have travelled across the border to DR Congo on Sunday, where they are suspected to have contracted the virus from an elderly male relative who later died.
Apparently three suspected Ebola victims have escaped from the isolation centre at Kihihi Health Centre IV in Kihihi town council in Kanungu District in western Uganda.
These have been identified as Saddi Muhima, 46, his son Issa Muhima, 19 and Milton Nsenga, all from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The three were admitted in isolation when they presented with Ebola like symptoms shortly after arriving at Munyaga border crossing in Western ward in Butogota town council in Kanungu District from DRC on Wednesday morning.
