English club Liverpool F.C recorded perhaps the most remarkable comeback in recent European upsets by overturning a 3-0 defeat against the best team in the World F.C Barcelona and reach the finals of the Champions league.

Most football lovers could not believe the outcome of the night as they emerged winners against Messi’s team – regarded by many as the best in the world.

The Merseyside started the route through Belgian Divock Origi before substitute Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum bagged a brace to come to level with Barcelona. Despite being a fifth choice striker, the Belgian struck the winner in miraculous fashion.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said he was “overwhelmed” and saw his players in tears after they completed the biggest Champions League semi-final comeback to beat Barcelona 4-3 on aggregate.

“The whole game was too much,” he said. “Winning is difficult but with a clean sheet, I don’t know how they did it,” said Klopp.

Liverpool will meet the winner between Spurs and Ajax.
