For years, the audience thought the rise of a new artiste could lead to the downfall of a reigning star. However, the success of music diva’s like Sheebah Karungi has made people think otherwise. The public has observed that there are many other factors that assist in ending a star’s career.

In 2017, Fik Fameica rose to fame with his club banger Pistol, a song he plagiarized from music star Fester Skunk. This however was not given much attention because the new kid on the block had come with a new vibe.

He followed this with Mbega wa baala, which was a very exceptional rap song. With that song, Fellow artistes and the media categorized him as the new rapper on the block.

However, Fik maybe did not feel the vibe in rap so he decided to create his own style which was almost appreciated by everyone.

From rags to riches fame, he had no knowledge on how the game is played.  Artistes directly dissed him; Feffe Bussi invited him to a rap battle since he feels different, he turned down the game. Chameleon once beat him over alleged theft. This was not because he was guilty of anything but because he was topping the chart and he had to be blocked.

Since Fameica had no Idea that beef is healthy, he never retaliated and this was a setback. As he was busy minding his own business, new kids like Recho Rey and Gim Nola MC joined the que. The game changed but he was unaware.

To those who say the rise of John Blaq led to the downfall of Fik Fameica should also think about this.

When Fik Fameica’s Kutama, Byenyenya and Skonto were playing on the waves, he felt out of this world, his nomination as Artist of the year in Nigeria might have added more salt, because right away he started avoiding the media.

On many occasions he stood both his fans and presenters up. First it was NTV’s the beat, UBC’s Horizon vibe, DJ nights and other music shows.

After disappointing almost everyone, his management organized a concert celebrating his journey, a journey he walked alone. No artiste advertised his show meaning there is no concrete friendship between him and fellow artistes. The show had to flop since he failed to appear on both his conferences that were prior to his show.

Finally the rise of John Blaq and his new vibe since these two artistes attract the same audiences, yet John Black has curved his own bond with the media and his audience something that would have been hard for the freshboy had Fik Fameica been at the forefront. Now can any body ask why our Fik has gone into oblivion?
