Recently, President Yoweri Museveni penned a short opinion story in one of the papers in which he said that some of the fellows in the Ministry of Finance are liars and involved in stealing public funds. Quite obviously, when the President says such things, it is very authoritative.
My problem is that, if he knows that this is happening, why doesn’t he take remedial measures to bring such characters to book? For him to complain in the press, is almost like the rest of us, who have no authority over anything. And when we make such kind of observations, we are normally blamed for passing on fake news.
By now, he knows very well that the problem in this country is thieves of all characters and in all places. Merely talking about this, without taking action against the people, who are known to do this evil, and rescue the rest of us from this scourge, will not do the country any good. The IGG, has already sounded him out on this. We are already groaning from the burden of taxes and fuel prices!
