Someone told me that if a man was given an opportunity to choose the most beautiful woman from one hundred beautiful ladies, he would still feel the pain of losing the remaining ninety nine. May be men are just like that; their desires cannot be quenched. But why should women in what seem to be comfortable marriages cheat?
Studies have shown that since 1990, the rate of married women who report that they have been unfaithful has increased by 40 percent, while the rate among men has remained the same.
More women than ever before are cheating. They are even more willing to admit that they are cheating. This calls for an explanation for the significant rise. Something must have changed the monogamy practice and therefore the family life making women feel more entitled to this cheating behavior.
When a woman cheats we vaguely assert that perhaps their husband is not giving them the attention and respect they deserve; perhaps they still love their partners, but the spark has vanished from their marriage.
Alternatively, they may have an open relationship, and both have affairs to satisfy their physical needs whilst still sharing a tight emotional bond. All these maybe true but there can be something more than this.
In women cheating is related to the fact that women want their sizzle with a side of emotional connection. A study by anthropologist Helen Fisher concluded that women tend to cheat when they are dissatisfied with their relationship as a whole and seek what is missing elsewhere. This is not the case with men. When it comes to male cheaters, Fisher found that 56% claimed to be “happily married.”
Some women will go in a relationship with the expectation that you are equipped and willing to meet her every whim. Maybe she will set you up to fail, maybe she is just pushing her luck, maybe she pins all her hopes and dreams on one person and feels justified in taking her wild expectations elsewhere when you inevitably fail to meet her demands.
So it all starts with getting into a relationship with a bevy of expectations only to be disappointed. Cheating could be a means of nursing herself from disappointments. Quite a number of cheaters have survived being found but this does not make cheating a fine deal.
Men who gave privately go for vasectomy without their partners’ knowledge, have been shocked seeing their wives conceiving and producing children. This means that in most marriages cheating wives have been producing and raising children conceived from their cheating adventures. If a woman is not aware that the husband went for vasectomy she will not be bothered with contraceptives when she goes to cheat. This is advice to men; don’t go for vasectomy without your wife’s knowledge. Otherwise, your birth control method won’t work.
