PLE: Smiles for those that survived a bad year

2017 appears to have been a tougher year for PLE pupils as shown by the relatively poor performance compared to the previous year 2016.

According to the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) an overwhelming 57,354 pupils out of a total of 646,190 candidates that sat for the exams, completely failed their exams, surpassing the 57,198 pupils that passed in first grade.

For those that managed to stay above the waters at various levels therefore have reason to smile. Some of these pupils who celebrated their victories include the following.

Nabulime Eglah of Good times Infant School scored 10 aggregates which she attributed to the efforts put into her education by her parents: They were always around to give me moral and financial support she told The Sunrise.

A for Dickson Sempala of God’s Angle Najjembe primary school and scored 13 aggregates he attributed his success to his teachers at school who never allowed them to joke with their education.

 

Nansamba Bridget Bukenya, a pupil of Savior Junior School Nakuwadde celebrates a first grade of 8 aggregates attributed her success to the parents who never defaulted on school fees. “My parents always paid my fees in time so there was never a time when I was out of school.

Bwanika Rahima of Lwagula Primary School, Makindye Luwafu scored 9 aggregates and she attributed this to the efforts put into them by their teachers who never spared the rod to spoil the child.

Kintu Rayan a pupil of Gombe Preparatory School scored 21 aggregates says he was happy for hi success and hopes to even do better at the next level .

Bukenya Brian a pupil at Savior Junior School Nakuwadde got 12 aggregates says his parents and his teachers all have to share in his success because they all contributed to it.

Ndagire Taubah of City Junior Bulaga Campus celebrated a first grade of 10 aggregates and attributed her success to hard work, her teachers and her parents.
